Bachelors of Arts

Bachelor of Arts is a fundamental three years UG program which is popular amongst students passing Class 12th. IIMT University offers B.A. as an annual course comprising of Core Courses, Foundation Courses and Qualifying Courses as prescribed under. The program offers a study of variety of subjects in the domain of Arts and Humanities. Students are exposed to the modest academic culture that not only stimulates learning but also enhances development.

The course curriculum has been strategically designed to provide a systematic learning to the students. The entire curriculum is divided into 3 broad categories:

Core Courses

A candidate is required to undertake any one language subject and any two Social Sciences subjects from the list below:

1.   English

2.   Hindi

3.   Economics

4.   Sociology

5.   Political Science

6.   Psychology

7.   Education

8.   History

9.   Drawing and Painting

Foundation Courses

These are compulsory courses that are specifically offered in Year 1 & Year 2.

         #B.A. First Year – Compulsory Course on Bhartiya Sanskriti and Rashtra Gaurav.

         #B.A. Second Year - Course on communication and writing skills in English / Hindi shall be studied.

The candidate is required to score a minimum of 40% of marks in foundation course in each year. If the candidate fails in any one of the foundation course he/she will be provisionally promoted to the next year. However, it is essential to pass the foundation courses to complete the BA program.

Qualifying Courses

A candidate is required to compulsorily qualify these subjects in each year. He/ She should obtain a minimum of obtain 40% marks in these subjects. However; these marks will not be added for calculating the division.

# First Year - Sports and Physical Education

# Second Year - General Awareness

#.Third Year - Environmental Studies.

Gone are the days when the Humanities students had a limited scope of work. B.A. graduates now have a plethora of career options to choose from upon successful completion of the course. Some of the popular choices include Civil Services such as the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and IFS (Indian Foreign Services), Political Scientist, Social Service, Teacher, Archaeologist, Historian, Heritage Conservator, Economist , Guidance Counsellors, Statistician, Analyst, Accountant, Librarian, and Museum Curator/Manager, Researchers, Foreign Language Experts, Literature Reviewer and Public Relation Manager, etc. Students are also eligible to take up any technical courses to advance their professional career.
