M.Lib

 

M.Lib is a two year full time post graduate degree programme.

The programme covers the expertise fundamentals, principles and practices of Library Science and Library Administration education including library networking, on-line and digital library services, library science research, Library Services, Knowledge Management, Recent Development, Catalogue codes, Information Processing and Managerial Aspects. An aspirant with a master’s degree in Library Science have scope in several jobs apart from the research- based profession in the Information Industry.

Future Perspective

There are tremendous opportunities for students after finishing their Post Graduate degree of Library Science degree such as Library Assistant, Library Attendant, Deputy Librarian, Librarian, Records Manager, Companies and Organizations with large Information handling requirements, Embassies, Information Centres, Documentation Centres, Museums and Galleries with Reading Rooms and Research Facilities, News Agencies and Organizations to handle information, Photo/Film Libraries etc and research based professions in the Information Industry.
