Hi M.Sc. (Home Science – Food And Nutrition) is a 2- years postgraduate program that offers deep knowledge in the field of food and nutrition. Department of Home Science at IIMT University, Meerut follows CBCS pattern of study with strategically designed curriculum. The program aims to impart knowledge in different areas such as product development, quality control, therapeutic nutrition, public health nutrition & food service management. It focuses on food science & nutrition and counseling on various lifestyle and clinical disorders.

The students develop proficiency in the subject knowledge of nutrition science. We adopt modern teaching pedagogies to bring forth all round development in the candidate. Students enhance their abilities and skills for application of nutritional facts & problem solving. This is an inter-disciplinary program that combines facts from science and arts for the better living and lifestyle of the population. This program helps to inbuilt the ability of self-reliance by providing enormous knowledge regarding food and its biochemistry. It imparts knowledge of research and related aspects which helps in development and advancement. Knowledge in food processing and technology helps in the production of food to meet the global trends.

Food and nutrition such as Consultant Dieticians, Clinical/Community Dieticians, Food and Nutrition Planner, Menu In-charge in hospitals/Hotels/Hostels etc., Diet Planner under various areas, Sports Nutritionist, Therapeutic Dietician, Academics and research and corporate houses related with food and nutrition.

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a UGC approved University / College in Nutrition, Home Science, Food Science , Food Technology, Medical Science, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Dental Sciences, Sports, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Agriculture and Life Sciences with 45% in aggregate.
