Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a branch of paramedical science that deals with diagnosing and treating various diseases. It is the science of analysis of human fluids like pericardial fluid, peritoneal fluid, pericardial fluid, urine, blood samples, and other specimens. DMLT Course is an entry-level program designed to impart the knowledge of inspecting, testing, and identifying various diseases. It is a two-year program where students are exposed to in-depth knowledge of Hematology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Serology and Blood Banking.
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is a 2-year diploma program designed to impart experiential learning to the students in order to develop a desired workforce to combat ever increasing demand of medical lab technicians in the healthcare sector. The program is designed with specific inputs from industry experts, based on the latest technologies available and in practice, for individuals interested in entering the field of clinical laboratory science. Students will also learn the operation technique of advanced lab equipment’s used for providing various laboratory test reports.
At the end of the course the student are able to:
a. Perform routine clinical laboratory testing.
b. Make specimen-oriented decisions on predetermined criteria including working knowledge of critical values.
c. Communicate with other members of healthcare team, customers and patients in an effective manner.
d. Process information and ensure quality control as appropriate to routine laboratory procedures.
e. Train students in routine laboratory procedure.
f. Upgrade knowledge and skills in a changing healthcare scenario.
g. Should know the logical interpretation of clinical lab investigations.
h. Should be able to extrapolate laboratory data acquired.
i. Should be able to work on an automated machine
