Mass Communication is meant to introduce students to the highly active, lively and challenging field of communication industry & information media. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at IIMTU visualizes the New Education Policy as a boost for the department and the students of mass communication. The department plans to reorganize & restructure the overall teaching-learning process thus making the system more robust. The department offers UG & PG Programs in Journalism and Mass Communication. Latest techniques and modern methodologies provide an extra ordinary learning environment to the students. Our programs are meticulously designed keeping in mind the traditional journalism principles as well as the contemporary media and communication practices.
School of Journalism & Mass Communication prepares & trains students in the print as well as electronic media with a well rounded approach that integrates classroom learning into practical application and utilization thus making them competent, efficient and qualified professionals for various job roles in the industry. Mass Communication is a field in which there are a number of career options in Electronic Media as TV, News channels Reporter, News Anchor/ Reader, Producer, Video Editor, Cameraperson etc. In Radio as Announcer, Radio Jockey, Programme Producer etc., in Print Media, Public relations, Advertising, Digital Media, Content Writer, Editor etc. Flair for teaching can leads to Academic for Journalism students.
